Test Bench
All the orange-peel and clamshell grabs manufactured by STEMM, undergo a thorough quality control before their delivery. They are subjected to a meticulous quality control with a whole series of tests and trials, that include the following operations:
- Beforehand, all the hydraulic cylinders are subjected to 250 cycles at pressures of 300 bar.
- 250 manoeuvres of the hydraulic unit on the Test Bench.
- 250 manoeuvres of the machine once the hydraulic unit and all the hydraulic cylinders already installed on the machine.
In other words, the fully assembled machine is subjected to a series of operations and manoeuvres simulating real working conditions thanks to the automaton available on the Test Bench.
An exhaustive examination and control of all the sensitive points and peripheral components, pressure switches, transducers, thermostats, limit switches, etc.
Control of the complete closure of lips, teeth, jaws and claws and the uniformity of movements of arms, claws, valves and synchronisms, verifying the absence of vibrations, friction, strange noises and looseness in the joints.
In the new test bench, measurements of pressures, intensities, temperatures, tightness and pressurisation tests are carried out.
Finally, a dimensional check of external dimensions, closed and open machine, as well as the closing and opening times are also verified.
Once all the tests have been completed, a test certificate is issued with the results obtained, together with a photo report of the manufacturing process and a video of the manoeuvres.
All this documentation, together with the Maintenance Manuals, Hydraulic and Electrical Diagrams, Quality Certificates for the used materials and the Grab Warranty, are delivered to the customer.
But it is also available on the web, accessible by a "QR" code that is edited and attached to the machine itself.
Visits during the manufacturing process
Our customers are invited to visit our facilities during the manufacturing process at its different stages and during the final testing phase when a provisional reception is issued.
All our customers receive a password that allows them to track their order online. This means that our customers can connect to our website and take a virtual tour of the manufacturing process, visualising the status of each part and component of the machine that is the object of the order.
The photographs and videos are updated weekly and are kept on the internet for a period of 60 days after the machine is shipped.
Our customers can view the test video that is made at the end of the manufacturing process, of variable duration (3-4 minutes) with the tests carried out and also download all the available documentation that is supplied with the machine.
