Each machine undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure optimal performance from the very first use and for years after delivery.
Test Bench: Simulating Real Working Conditions
Before leaving our facilities, all grabs go through an exhaustive Test Bench, designed to subject each machine to the same conditions it will face in the field. This process includes several testing phases:
- Hydraulic cylinders: each cylinder undergoes 250 cycles at 300 bar pressure, ensuring strength and reliability under extreme loads.
- Hydraulic power unit: 250 manoeuvres are performed on the hydraulic group inside the test bench.
- Complete machine: once assembled with all cylinders installed, the bench automaton performs an additional 250 manoeuvres, simulating real work operations.
During these tests, a thorough examination of all critical components is carried out, including pressure switches, transducers, thermostats, limit switches, and peripheral elements, to ensure that all systems operate in perfect harmony.
The complete closing of tines, lips, teeth, jaws, and shells is also verified, checking the uniformity of arm, claw, and shell movements, while ensuring the absence of vibrations, friction, unusual noises, or play in the joints.
Specific Tests for Grabs
In our new test bench, the machines are also subjected to precise measurements of pressure, current, and temperature, as well as sealing and pressurisation tests. Finally, a dimensional check of all external measurements is carried out, with the machine both open and closed, and opening and closing times are recorded.
Once all tests are completed, a test certificate is issued, including the results obtained, a photographic report of the manufacturing process, and a manoeuvre video. All this is delivered to the customer together with maintenance manuals, hydraulic and electrical diagrams, material quality certificates, and the machine warranty.
In addition, all documentation is available online via a QR code attached to the machine, allowing quick and secure access at any time.
Transparency and Real-Time Monitoring
At Stemm, quality is also demonstrated through transparency. For this reason, our customers can visit our facilities during production and the final testing phase, where the machine undergoes its provisional reception.
Furthermore, each customer receives a personal access code to track their order online. Through our platform, they can take a virtual tour of the manufacturing process, view the status of each component, and follow weekly updates of photos and videos for 60 days after shipment.
